Who Am I?

Hello, my name is Philip Metz. I am 21 years old and I have brown hair and brown eyes. I enjoy many sports but basketball is my favorite. I enjoy Italian food and am never one to say no to a free meal (ha). I played division-3 basketball my freshman year of school at the College of Mount St. Joseph. When I decided that I wanted to continue to pursue my career at IUPUI I was very sad to have to give up my passion, but it was for the best. I have never set up a blog before so this is my first time and it seems to be going smoothly so far. If I had to give any tips from passed on advice, it would be to be creative and be yourself. I have found in life that trying to be somebody who you are not never pays off in the end anyways. To live life to the fullest and never give up are to of the best pieces of advice that I have ever been given. School is always going to be a challenge but to be able to take on that challenge is one of the many opportunities in life that we as people fail to realize. I hope through reading my blog you might feel like you know a little bit more about me. Until next time, stay classy.

  1. You and I would have been very good friends in my previous life ... I ran my own wedding cake and catering biz and was always looking for "volunteers" to take leftovers out of my kitchen! Really like your photo of the basketball .. it's very "artsy"! :-)

  2. I agree with Debi - I love the picture. The layout of your blog is very creative. My middle son plays basketball. He loves it and he is hoping that he reaches 6'7" at least! He is only in 4th grade :) but he is 5'3"

  3. I enjoyed your advice about always being true to yourself and not changing who you are I have always lived by that. I think it is really cool that you were strong enough leave things you loved behind to go after your career that is really inspiring.
